After years of traversing the African continent – from the vast plains of Botswana to the lush landscapes of Zambia, with a quick hop across to Malaysia for good measure – our lives have been an incredible tapestry woven with unique experiences. We’ve encountered moments so bizarre, so hilarious, and sometimes so utterly unbelievable, that they’re starting to blur into a hazy, “did that really happen?” memory bank.

For too long, these personal anecdotes, the daily quirks, and the genuine human connections that define our life and work here, have existed only in our minds (and the occasional frantic diary scribble). But no more! With this blog, we’re making a concerted effort to pull back the curtain and share the candid, personal side of our journey working in Africa.

Let’s be clear: we’re not setting out to change the world with this blog (we’ll leave that to our actual work!). Our ambition is far simpler: perhaps these tales will enlighten you a little about life on this incredible continent, empower someone to step outside their own comfort zone, or simply give you a much-needed chuckle after a long day.
